After retiring from a career as a crop duster in Central California, I've been able to pursue a recent hobby working with leather. I started with leather carving, then making saddles and eventually taught myself to braid leather.
Self-taught, I learn more with each project. I am currently working on 4 saddles simultaneously. Other projects include belts, plaques, bolos, and dog leads. Many of my picture frames are thematic; elements of the artwork contained in the frame are repeated in the frame.
Right now I own 6 horses and enjoy my time spent in the outdoors working with them.
Dandy, the horse you see on the left, came from the BLM Adopt-a-Horse program. He has all the best attributes of a wild horse: sure-footed, smart and adaptable.
